Great stuff - her self-penned song and distinctive style won the judges over. She’s got talent alright!
2nd were the Urban Street Stars Juniors, who did a fantastic turn, and were looking great in their costumes and dyed hair thanks to the efforts of the fleet of mums around them!
3rd came Kirsty Crook - we were biased as she helped out throughout the competition as a volunteer and filmed many of the other acts, so we wanted Kirsty to do well, and the judges agreed with us! Well done Kirsty - you were great on the day. (And impressive on the drums for The Moffats too!!)
Special mentions from the Judges went to The Tutus and Lauren McQueen.
But at Alt Valley Vision, we think they were ALL winners - well done everyone!
The day was fraught with buffeting gales, and despite being forced to re-locate indoors, the crew did a sterling job to get the show on the road! It was a great event and served to showcase some of the best talent that Liverpool has to offer.
Thanks to Croxteth Comprehensive school for the revised venue - and of course the Alt Valley Trust!
Don’t forget to check out the Best of Alt Valley’s Got Talent video on our main site, and stay tuned for the videos of the final which will be uploaded soon!
We’ll see you next year :o)
Todays the day! Come on down to Croxteth Park and give the acts your support!
It promises to be a great day out - I can’t predict the winner - they were all so good in the boot camp yesterday.
But good look to everyone in the final - they are all winners to have made it this far, and even if they don’t walk away with the main prize today, they have achieved a great deal already.
I’ve got my favourites, but as the blogger, I have to remain impartial ;o)
Good luck everyone!!!!
All the acts are here at the Communiversity on a sunny saturday afternoon, with their mentors from LIPA getting professional tips to polish their acts ahead of the final in Croxteth park.
There is a palpable sense of excitement with just 24 hours to go - we are hoping for a big crowd for the live final, so come on down and support your favourite acts.
Good luck to all the finalists - it’s going to be a great afternoon!
In no particular order…
Thanks to everyone who took part! You all did yourselves proud and the standards were very high - there’s always next time - keep practicing, because you’ve all proved that Alt Valley HAS got talent!
Great stuff!
Well done all the contestants - and volunteers too.
I’ve managed to crawl into the corner of the room - and I’m eavesdropping on the judges… They are literally tearing each other apart… There’s much weeping and gnashing of teeth - so I’ve got to keep my typing quiet in case they spot me…
Any minute now they will have picked the 12 finalists!
We can hardly wait… There’s going to be tears and laughter, elation and disappointment - but not necessarily in that order :o)
With 46 acts to get through today, only 12 will make it through to the final!
And the dance groups have clearly been putting in overtime on their costumes second time around! We knew the standards were high - but we’ve been really impressed by the effort that has been put in by all the contestants!
The first rounds of the auditions are over - and what a fantastic array of acts we’ve seen!
Well done to EVERYONE who took part - and if you didn’t get through to the semi-final then don’t despair, the standards were very high.
The videos have all been uploaded to the main site - www.altvalleyvision.co.uk/talent - for your viewing pleasure. You can leave comments there too!
We took hundreds of photos of all the performers - some with their proud parents in too - and they will be making their way onto the main website this week.
If you are a performer or parent, you can get copies of the pictures by emailing s.p.hargraves@ljmu.ac.uk and asking him nicely!
Finally - thanks to all the volunteers who helped out - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! But don’t think its all over yet!
We still have the Semi-Final to come on June the 14th - so stay tuned :o)
